
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL CUSTOMERS
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by C&C Leak Detection Ltd.
By confirming your booking, you agree to these terms.
A confirmation message/email will be issued after booking. A 60 - minute grace period applies
for free cancellation. After this period, the cancellation policy below applies.
1. Our Services
We provide:
• Non-invasive leak detection
• Heating and water system diagnostics
• Trace investigations
• Insurance reporting
All services are diagnostic and strictly non-invasive only.
2. Professional Scope
We do not carry out:
• Invasive works (lifting floors, opening walls, etc.)
• Repairs or reinstatement
• Structural or roof leak detection
• Building works of any kind
3. Nature of Service
• Leak detection is not guaranteed to locate all leaks
• Results may be inconclusive
All visits are chargeable, provided services are delivered with reasonable care and skill.
4. Repairs & Invasive Works
• We do not carry out repairs or invasive works
• Any exposure or repair must be arranged separately
All such works are carried out at the customer’s own discretion and risk.
5. Access & Customer Responsibility
Customer must provide:
• Full and safe access
• Access to systems and pipework
• Required permissions
Failure may result in a chargeable aborted visit.
6. Preparation Requirements
Customer agrees:
• Heating ON (unless advised)
• Underfloor heating OFF
• Accurate information provided
7. Appointment Terms
• Full-day booking slots
• Arrival times are estimates
• Up to 6 hours on-site
No refunds for unused time.
8. Pricing
• Prices are fixed per appointment
• Based on information provided at booking
Domestic Clients
Pricing is based on:
• Property type
• Size
• System complexity
If information is incorrect, pricing may be reviewed and adjusted with agreement.
Commercial Clients
Pricing depends on:
• Site size
• System complexity
• Access and H&S requirements
Due to safety requirements, a minimum of two engineers may attend commercial properties,
which may affect pricing.
Additional Costs
May include:
• Extended investigation
• Parking/travel
• Follow-up visits
• Specialist methods
• Tracing Gas Testing is not included as standard an additional charge applies, subject to customer approval.
9. Cancellation Policy
• 60-minute free cancellation from time of booking.
• Up to 48 hours of appointment time → 50% of survey fee will apply.
• Less than 24 hours of appointment time → 100% of full fee will apply.
• No access → full fee will apply.
(All charges reflect reasonable business loss/we will do our utmost to fulfil your appointment with another - if we can only admin fee of £60 will apply)
10. Evidence & Attendance
We may record:
• Attendance times
• Engineer notes
Attendance constitutes service delivery.
11. Photographic Evidence
Photos/videos may be taken for:
• Reporting
• Evidence
Consent is given upon booking.
12. Reports
• Based on findings at time of visit
• Not a guarantee of future condition
13. Payment Terms
• Due on completion
• Reports released after payment
14. Report Withholding
Reports remain our property until paid in full.
15. Payment Disputes
• Customer must contact us before disputes
• We may recover costs for unjustified chargebacks.
16.Pre-Visit Checklist
Customer confirms:
• Access available
• Systems prepared
• Info accurate
Failure may result in chargeable failed visit.
17. Acceptance of Terms
Agreement is formed by:
• Booking
• Confirmation
• Payment
• Allowing attendance
18. Liability
Limited to amount paid, where permitted by law.
19. Events Outside Control
We are not liable for delays due to:
• Weather
• Traffic
• Illness
20. Data Protection
We comply with:
• UK GDPR
• Data Protection Act 2018
21. Commercial Clients/Health and Safety
• Clients must comply with Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974
We may refuse unsafe work.
22. Failed Visits
No access / unsafe / unprepared:
Visit is chargeable
23. Third-Party Contractors & Associated Businesses
Where repairs or invasive works are required:
We may provide details of third-party contractors, including:
• NC Gas Services
• Chambers Plumbing & Heating
These are separate businesses and C & C is not liable for their work, pricing, scheduling or
damage. The above businesses have shared ownership and directors.
Customer is not required to use them.
24. Customer Responsibility
Customer must:
• Choose contractor
• Agree terms
• Verify qualifications
Important Operational Separation
• C&C Leak Detection Ltd does not:
* Quote for repair works
* Instruct or manage contractors
* Invoice for third-party works
All works are contracted directly by the customer
